QVC and Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance (OCRFA) are uniting once again for “QVC Presents Super Saturday LIVE,” an annual charity sale scheduled to be broadcast on Saturday, July 29 at 2 PM (ET).

As part of the shopping extravaganza, donated designer accessories, apparel, beauty, jewelry and more will be offered at HALF the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, with 80% of the purchase price** benefitting Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance.

“Each summer, the funds raised through ‘QVC Presents Super Saturday LIVE’ bring us one step closer to eradicating this deadly disease,” said Doug Rose, Senior Vice President of Brand and Communications for QVC. “Now in its 11th year, this initiative is a wonderful example of the difference that can be made when two powerful organizations join together in support of a worthy cause.”
Since 1998, OCRFA’s Super Saturday, a guilt-free charity discount designer shopping event has raised millions of dollars for ovarian cancer research. Since 2007, “QVC Presents Super Saturday LIVE” has generated more than $11.5 million to benefit Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance. The live broadcast, which will include cut-ins from OCRFA’s Super Saturday event to give viewers an exciting behind-the-scenes look at one of the summer’s most spectacular sales, will feature a variety of fabulous finds from designer brands including Givenchy, Dooney & Bourke, Henri Bendel, Judith Leiber, philosophy and many more.

“For more than a decade, OCRFA and QVC have joined forces to help raise awareness of ovarian cancer,” said Audra Moran, President and CEO, OCRFA. “This year, we are honored to be joined by Alyssa Milano and Kelly Kall, who have graciously agreed to share their personal connection to this horrible disease. It is our hope that their story and message will heighten awareness of this deadly disease.”

Kelly Kall is the long-time personal assistant and friend to Hollywood star actress and activist Alyssa Milano. Kelly was diagnosed with stage one ovarian cancer – a very rare finding as ovarian cancer is not often discovered so early. Alyssa and Kelly fought through the disease together and hope their story exemplifies the importance of having the support of friends and loved ones around you. Their story will also be shared on air during “QVC Presents Super Saturday LIVE.”

In honor of Super Saturday LIVE, QVC is inviting shoppers to donate $1, with 100% of the donation supporting OCRFA, the largest global organization dedicated to advancing ovarian cancer research, advocacy and patient support programs. QVC is also encouraging viewers to participate in #KeepinItTeal, a social media campaign designed to help raise awareness of ovarian cancer. It’s all part of QVC’s ongoing commitment to support charitable causes that promote the success and wellness of women through the power of relationships.
