At the Metropolitan Police Service’s Central Communications Command (CCC) The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall met policemen and women and other members of the emergency services who responded to the attack on Saturday 3 June.

CCC is the Metropolitan Police’s largest Operational Command Unit (OCU), which is opened during large scale events. It brings together all the specialist police officers required for such an event, alongside partners including the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.

Their Royal Highnesses then travelled to the Royal London Hospital to visit members of the public who were injured in the London Bridge attack.

Twelve casualties were brought to the hospital following the attack and they were treated by the hospital’s dedicated staff.

The Prince and Duchess had the opportunity to meet some of the medical and support staff who were involved in looking after those injured in the attack, and thank them for their work.
