The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) announced today that St. Paul & the Broken Bones will perform at this year’s Academy Awards Viewing Party to be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at West Hollywood Park.

This annual gala, sponsored by BVLGARI, Neuro Drinks and Diana Jenkins, is the largest fundraising event in Hollywood on Oscar night and has raised more than $56 million to support the Foundation’s mission to achieve an AIDS-free generation.

“I am absolutely delighted to welcome St. Paul & the Broken Bones to EJAF’s Academy Awards Viewing Party,” said Founder Sir Elton John. “They are just amazing, fantastic musicians, and I know our guests will be thrilled by their performance.”

Led by dynamic front man Paul Janeway, St. Paul & the Broken Bones has forged a reputation as a must see live act, headlining sold-out shows across the United States and Europe, while also supporting acts such as the Rolling Stones, and performing at major festivals, including Bonnaroo, Coachella, and Lollapalooza. They have appeared on CBS Saturday Morning, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and CONAN.

The Birmingham, Alabama-based band’s 2014 debut album, Half The City, featured Janeway’s impassioned singing atop a blend of ‘60s soul fire and otherworldly grooves inspired by the likes of Sly Stone, David Bowie, and Prince. The album received critical acclaim from outlets including NPR, Rolling Stone, and Esquire. Their latest full-length album, Sea of Noise, is a heart-pounding infusion of R&B, cosmic soul, funk, and psychedelic rock & roll, packed with songs that witness a deepening and broadening of the unit’s musical reach and lyrical concerns.

In addition to the performance by St. Paul & the Broken Bones, guests can look forward to an evening of fun that includes a dinner designed by internationally renowned Chef Gordon Ramsay, a live auction conducted by Alexander Gilkes of Paddle8, and dance tunes spun by DJ Johnny Dynell. The event will play host to a myriad of Hollywood top names, many of whom are committed supporters of the Foundation’s work to provide services, including direct treatment and care for people living with HIV/AIDS in marginalized communities.

Among the individuals who will attend the celebration are Event Chairs Mahershala Ali, Tim and Jane Allen, Alessandra Ambrosio, Beck, Carrie Brownstein, Naomi Campbell, Jim Carrey, Ciara, Chris Colfer, John Demsey, Jennifer Kelly Dominiquini, Michael Douglas, Ava DuVernay, Stéphane Gerschel, Fin Gray and Michael Melnick, Miranda Harper, Luke Hemsworth, Tommy Hilfiger, Gaby Hoffmann, Stephanie Horbaczewski, Diana Jenkins, Caitlyn Jenner, Quincy Jones, Heidi Klum, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Diana Krall and Elvis Costello, Ryan Kwanten, Padma Lakshmi, Amy Landecker, Fred Latsko, Shelley Lazar, Sandra Lee, Jared Leto, Judith Light, Eugenio Lopez, Rob and Sheryl Lowe, Eric and Janet McCormack, Joe McMillan, Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Daniel Paltridge, Katy Perry, Tyler Perry, Andrew Rannells, Issa Rae, Tracee Ellis Ross, Zoe Saldana, Jane Seymour, Steve Sims, Kevin Spacey, Britney Spears, Sharon Stone, Steven Tyler, and Denzel and Pauletta Washington.
