Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research has announced that Angel Ball 2016 will honor the work of Carl H. June, M.D., Director of the Center for Cellular Immunotherapies and Director of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy at the University of Pennsylvania, the late Robert Kardashian and Heloise Pratt AM, Chair of The Pratt Foundation.

This annual, black-tie benefit, hosted by Grammy-nominated songwriter Denise Rich and her daughters Daniella Rich Kilstock and Ilona Rich Schachter, will take place Monday, November 21, 2016, at Cipriani Wall Street.

This year’s honorees have demonstrated an incredible dedication in raising awareness and funds for life-saving cancer research. Dr. Carl H. June is an award-winning, world-renowned physician and researcher whose pioneering CAR-T cell immunotherapy techniques train the patient’s own immune system to destroy its cancer. Dr. June is the Director of the Translational Research Program at the Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute/University of Pennsylvania. The late Robert Kardashian, passed away from esophageal cancer in 2003. The Kardashian family has been vocal about the importance of cancer research. Heloise Pratt AM, through The Pratt Foundation which she has chaired since 1995, has been a leader in the holistic treatment of cancer patients in Australia, and in the introduction of innovative survivorship programs in cancer hospitals. Established in 1978, The Pratt Foundation funds projects in Australia, Israel, the United States, Asia, Africa, and Europe, with an emphasis on Mental Health, Cancer Survivorship, Food and Water Security, Sustainability, Education, and the Arts.

The Angel Ball honors individuals who have made significant humanitarian and philanthropic contributions in support of cancer research and boasts attendees in the fields of business, philanthropy, and society alike for this annual celebration of life, music and the quest for a cure.

Members of Robert Kardashian’s family will attend to accept the honor in his memory, including Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian. Additional presenters include Sir Bob Geldof, and Star Jones.

The Angel Ball stands out as one of the highlights of the New York social season featuring outstanding live performances. This year’s performance line-up will include Earth, Wind & Fire, Dave Stewart, Vanessa Amorosi, Jon Stevens, CeeLo Green and other musical surprises.

The evening will include a cocktail reception, dinner, and a luxury live auction led by Simon de Pury. Live auction items will feature a stay at The Brando in Teti’aroa French Polynesia – the multi-award-winning private island resort envisioned by Marlon Brando; jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz; and an exclusive Porsche Panamera Turbo.
