In an adorable new video starring Jon Stewart, his wife Tracey, and family, narrated by Emily Deschanel, the national farm animal protection organization Farm Sanctuary introduces the world to Anna and Maybelle, the very first residents of their upcoming New Jersey branch (slated to open spring 2017 at the Stewart’s farm).
Be prepared to fall in love with these adorable piglets who were rescued on a highway after falling off a transfer truck, and then adopted by Jon and Tracey after they fell in love with them on a family trip to Farm Sanctuary’s New York Shelter in Watkins Glen.
The video is part of the launch of The Daily Squeal with Tracey Stewart website, where the Stewarts will share the “many triumphs, challenges, and laughs along the way” as they prepare to open the New Jersey location of Farm Sanctuary. In the first of a series of bi-weekly blog posts, Tracey shares a list of Anna and Maybelle’s “firsts” in celebration of their one year rescue-versary, and after seeing all the fun and moving moments (many captured on video!), it’s no wonder they made Time’s “100 Most Influential Animals of the Year.”
