Last month, Budweiser kicked off the summer by proudly inscribing “America” on the front of its cans and bottles. Now, to celebrate one of the most patriotic weekends of the year, the brand is bringing country superstar Chris Stapleton to the most populated military post in the country and will be donating up to $1 million in educational support to the spouses and children of fallen and disabled service members.

This year’s Fourth of July celebration at North Carolina’s Fort Bragg will culminate in a show-stopping performance from Chris Stapleton, CMA’s 2015 New Artist of the Year, in front of 40,000 service members, their families and members of the Fort Bragg community. Budweiser and Chris Stapleton will present a donation to Folds of Honor, the amount of which will be determined by America itself. Budweiser’s donation will come from a portion of the total nationwide sales of America cans and bottles in the week leading up to Fourth of July (6/27-7/4) — up to $1 million total.

“As a beer brewed by Americans since 1876, Budweiser recognizes and celebrates those who have fought for the liberties and freedom of this great nation,” said Ricardo Marques, vice president, Budweiser. “We’re continually inspired by the work that our partners at Folds of Honor do every day in providing scholarships to the families of fallen heroes, and we’re looking forward to toasting to those who deserve it most: America’s service members and their families.”

In addition to Chris Stapleton, Fort Bragg’s Fourth of July celebration will include performances from Cheap Trick, Natalie Stovall and The Drive. The day before, on July 3, Fort Bragg will host the first-ever Major League Baseball game to be played on a military base. The Miami Marlins will go head-to-head with the Atlanta Braves, bringing one of America’s favorite pastimes to the service members of Fort Bragg just in time for Independence Day.
