Ed Asner and Autism Speaks, the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization, presents the 4th Annual Ed Asner & Friends Poker Tournament and Celebrity Casino Night on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 5:00 PM, on the 30th Floor of the USC Tower Steelcase WorkLife Center/City View Penthouse in Downtown Los Angeles (1150 South Olive St).

Asner leads a long list of celebrities, sponsors and top movie studio execs who have teamed up on behalf of Autism Speaks. More than 300 guests are expected at this year’s event, sponsored by Steelcase.

“The Annual Texas Hold ’Em Tournament is always a memorable and rewarding opportunity for us to bring friends and members of the industry together to raise funds for Autism Speaks,” said Asner, who has a son and grandson on the spectrum. “Our goal is to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.”

In addition to the Celebrity Poker Tournament, guests will enjoy a Casino Night including Blackjack, Craps and Roulette; dinner buffet catered by Patina; cocktails and silent/live Auctions. Casino Night Prizes will be awarded as well as Poker Prizes for the top three winners. Past celebrities who attended include Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Evan Handler, Max Burkholder, Ed Begley Jr. and Michael McKean.

Now in its fourth year, the poker tournament is expecting to raise over $100,000 to support Autism Speaks mission to increase awareness of autism spectrum disorders, to fund research into the causes, prevention and treatment of autism, and to advocate for the needs of individuals with autism and their families, which now affects 1 out of every 68 people in the United States.
