San Diego-based nonprofit, Nick Cannon Foundation, Inc. and title sponsor, JPMorgan Chase & Co., in collaboration with the San Diego Unified School District’s College, Career and Technical Education (CCTE) Annual Showcase will launch a new competition for San Diego youth June 1st titled “America’s Teen Mogul (ATM) Summit and Student Business Plan Competition.”

The ATM competition is designed to expose youth ages 12 to 19 to the global career and entrepreneurship opportunities available in San Diego in the entertainment and growing middle-skill job sectors. A recent report commissioned by JPMorgan Chase revealed that growing job sectors in San Diego include: Advanced Manufacturing, Health Care and Information and Communication Technologies. The ATM competition will encourage students to explore opportunities in these sectors. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Liberty Station Conference Center, Main Hall, 2600 Laning Road, San Diego, CA, 92106. Media parking will be available in main lot.

The annual CCTE Showcase connects business partners with students and teachers to develop a strong foundation for the economic future for San Diego. Students present products they produce and business problems they solve in collaboration with members of the local business community. Past project examples include biomedical solutions, game design apps, automotive innovations, photographic art and robotics. More than 300 industry professionals typically volunteer to be mentors, guest speakers or advisors for the students. The event schedule is as follows:

• 3:30 – Onsite press interviews.
• 4:00 – 5:45 p.m. – Student projects will be on display, robotics exhibition, ATM Competition featuring business plan presentations, celebrity/VIP panelist Q&A, project judging, video film festival competition, photography contest and culinary student’s creations.
• 5:45 – 6:15 p.m. – Awards ceremony with Nick Cannon presenting
