The 15th Annual Women Who Care Luncheon benefiting United Cerebral Palsy of New York City (UCP of NYC) was held Monday, May 9th at Cipriani 42nd Street.

The sold-out event celebrated the extraordinary accomplishments of women as professionals, caregivers and philanthropists. In its fifteen years, Women Who Care has raised nearly $8 million to fund programs and services offered by UCP of NYC to over 14,000 children and adults with disabilities throughout New York City.

The 2016 Women Who Care leadership included: (All in Attendance)
Loreen Arbus – Producer, Disability Rights Activist and Founder/Chair of Women Who Care.
Susan Lucci – Emmy Award-winning star of the hit series Devious Maids, New York Times best-selling author, former Women Who Care Honoree and returning Co-Host of Women Who Care.
Liza Huber – Founder & CEO of Sage Spoonfuls and Co-Host of Women Who Care.
Tamsen Fadal – Eight-time Emmy winning journalist, author, co-anchor of PIX 11 News at 5:00 p.m. & 10:00 p.m, and Co-Chair of Women Who Care.
Donna Hanover – Former First Lady of New York City, author, television personality, and Co-Chair of Women Who Care.
Ali Stroker – Of Glee and Glee Project fame, first performer in a wheelchair to appear on Broadway, and Co-Chair of Women Who Care.
Paula Zahn – Nine-time Emmy Award-winning host of On The Case With Paula Zahn and Co-Chair of Co-Chair of Women Who Care.
Frank A. Bennack Jr. – Executive Vice Chairman of Hearst, and Honorary Chair of this year’s Women Who Care.

Highlights of this year’s Women Who Care event included honoree award presentations:

Beverly Bond – BLACK GIRLS ROCK! founder and CEO, TV producer, DJ and social innovator, was presented the Women Who Care Award by Soledad O'Brien – Peabody and Emmy Award-winning journalist and TV anchor, producer and CEO of Starfish Media Group.

Deborah Norville – Inside Edition anchor, two-time Emmy winning journalist and New York Times best-selling author, was presented the Luella Bennack Philanthropy Award by Dennis Basso – Award-winning fashion designer.

Ellyn Shook – Accenture chief leadership & human resources officer, was presented the Women in Business Award by Paula Zahn – Nine-time Emmy Award-winning host of On The Case With Paula Zahn and Co-Chair of Co-Chair of Women Who Care.

Jenny Long – Author of the best-selling book Expect a Miracle, was presented the Karen Hansen Caregiver Award by Judith Light – Emmy, Golden Globe & two-time Tony Award-winning star of the hit series Transparent and 2014 Women Who Care Honoree.

Northwell Health were presented the Corporate Commitment to Caring Award by Edward R. Matthews – CEO of United Cerebral Palsy of New York City.

Loreen Arbus – Women Who Care Founder/Chair was given a special tribute by Frank A. Bennack Jr., Executive Vice Chairman of Hearst and Honorary Chair of Women Who Care.
