Over the past 15 years, the Clinton Foundation has been working to find solutions to protect our environment, lift families out of poverty, and help people everywhere to live longer, healthier, more productive lives. And Bill Clinton has launched a new campaign to mark the milestone.

“When I think about the realities of our modern world, I am reminded of one of my favorite lines of poetry: “No man is an island.” Every day, the choices we make in our own lives – for better or worse – have an impact on people all over the world," he said in an email to supporters. "Today, as we confront the pressing challenge of climate change, we must acknowledge that our decisions about the ways we have consumed and produced energy have had serious consequences around the globe. But we also know that, by making thoughtful decisions together, we can target the root causes of climate change and reshape our planet’s future.

“We have no time to lose. Already, vulnerable island nations are facing the reality of rising seas. To help preserve those islands and protect the people who live on them, the Clinton Foundation has launched the Islands Energy Program, a partnership to develop renewable energy projects that will keep their lights on and their energy costs down. By working with island governments, we are building strong, resilient local economies.

“I started this foundation because I believed that if we could find new ways to work together, a more inclusive, more equitable, and more sustainable world was within our reach.”
