Real Estate mogul and newly declared Presidential candidate Donald Trump and New York Yankees owner Hank Steinbrenner have teamed up to host the 1st Annual Hank’s Yanks Golf Classic at the brand new Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point in the Bronx on Monday, July 6, 2015.

The tournament, which will include a dinner and silent auction, will be the first high profile event at this highly anticipated new public golf course, New York’s first in 52 years. Designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point opened in April 2015 and is in the running to host future championships, such as the Barclays and the U.S. Open.

Participants will get the opportunity to play golf with former athletes and celebrities, including: Reggie Jackson, Rudy Giuliani, Richard Gere, Danny Aiello, Chazz Palminteri, Daryl Strawberry, David Cone, David Wells, Tim Raines, Willie Randolph, Kenny Anderson, Sean Landeta, Billy The Artist, and numerous former Yankees. Alex Rodriquez, who is enjoying a splendid comeback season for the Bronx Bombers, will attend the post-event cocktail party. Proceeds from the charity tournament will benefit three organizations: Hank’s Yanks, The Kenneth A. Smaltz Sr. Foundation for Alzheimer’s Care, and The St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Special guest Dellin Betances will honored at the tournament awards dinner. The Yankees reliever, a mentor for Hank’s Yanks, was born in Washington Heights and raised on the Lower East Side. Betances was the first player from New York City to be named an Aflac All-American and played for the Team USA Junior National Team. He understands the challenges involved in competing in the city, and is a strong supporter of the Hank’s Yanks travel baseball program.

Hank’s Yanks is a not-for-profit organization for travel baseball teams run by Hank Steinbrenner, and co-owner of the New York Yankees. Funds will support baseball activities and community outreach of young athletes involved with Hank’s Yanks. Many of the players come from tough areas with baseball acting as an activity to keep on a positive path in life.

The Kenneth A. Smaltz Sr. Foundation for Alzheimer’s Care offers support for people living with dementia, their families and caregivers, and provides leadership in policy and services.

The St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Foundation, based in Tampa, Florida, reflects the trust and reliance generations of children, parents and families have in them, and has helped to preserve their rich tradition of compassionate care while fueling innovation and medical excellence, and making possible facilities, technology, programs and services to better serve each patient’s needs.

“I’m proud that the first major event held at Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point in the Bronx will be The Hank’s Yanks Golf Classic. It is going to be a tremendous, star-studded event that will raise money for three very deserving causes,” said Donald Trump, who recently announced his candidacy for President of the United States. “Our gold course, designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, has already received phenomenal reviews. This event will be the first of many exciting major championships and tournaments at Trump Golf Links.”

Registration and lunch will begin at 11:00 a.m., while the start of the tournament is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Participation in Hank’s Yanks Golf Classic is limited, and applicants must fill out a pre-registration form via Hank’s Yanks website.

Sponsors of the Hank’s Yanks Golf Classic are Delta Airlines, TaylorMade Golf, adidas, Adams Golf, Ashworth, Giuliani Partners, Bracewell & Giuliani, Robert Graham, Dooney & Bourke, Casa de Campo, Madison Square Garden, Mophie, Miller Motorcars, Six Flags, Golden Platter Sports, Polsky Sports & Entertainment, and Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point.
