It’s an offer no avid reader can resist and makes for a great Mother’s Day gift: three limited-edition digital boxed sets containing 39 suspense, contemporary romance, and hot romance stories for $9.99 each – that’s less than $1 per story.

Assembled by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Brenda Novak, the never-before-published collections will be available starting May 1st. Brenda’s “Mother’s Day Gift” to her son Thad who deals with type 1 diabetes every day of his life, is actually a joint effort among dozens of her notable colleagues throughout the literary world to help find a cure for type 1 diabetes.

Proceeds benefit the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI), a recognized world leader in cure-focused diabetes research.

Under the auspices of Brenda Novak for the Cure, Novak has hosted an Annual Online Auction during the month of May for the past 10 years, raising more than $2.4 million for diabetes research. Last year, she added an innovative new feature, her first collaborative project, A Sweet Life boxed set, which featured 14 bestselling authors. Fans responded in droves, raising nearly $100,000 from boxed set sales alone.

After such a remarkable response, Novak decided to focus her efforts on assembling three new sets, featuring a mix of traditional and indie authors, including:
• Sweet Dreams, a suspense/thriller set containing 13 stories, including one by Brenda herself, with a foreword by world renowned thriller writer Lee Child;
• Sweet Talk, a contemporary romance set of 10 stories with a foreword by #1 New York Times bestselling romance writer Robyn Carr.
• Sweet Seduction, a “hot” romance set a-la-50 Shades of Grey containing 14 stories from some of today’s most popular erotica authors with a foreword by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones.

“I believe that there’s something here for anyone who considers themselves a reader and for the casual reader looking for a great beach or summer read or maybe even a great present for Mother’s Day. Plus, with each purchase we get closer to finding a cure for a disease that impacts millions of sufferers, their families, and friends,” said Novak, who made finding a cure for diabetes a top priority after her now 17-year-old son, Thad, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was just 5 years old.

“We are extremely grateful for Brenda’s creativity, spirit, energy, and support throughout all these years,” said Joshua Rednik, president and CEO of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. “She shares our passion for finding a cure for this devastating disease, and she has the drive to make a real difference.”

The ‘Sweet’ boxed sets are available for download from May 1, 2015 through June 30, 2015 at Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, Apple, or wherever e-books are sold. Learn more at BrendaNovak.com.
