Stephen Amell (star of The CW hit series Arrow) recently partnered with Represent, a rapidly growing platform for creating and selling custom merchandise, to generate $947,380 in sales in support of the F**k Cancer charity.

The campaign initially lasted three weeks and sold 21,351 shirts, but was re-launched for 48 hours due to overwhelming demand from Stephen Amell’s fans. An additional 24,000 T-shirts were sold during the two-day re-launch at the end of October, surpassing the 21,351 sold in the first three weeks. All profits from the campaign were donated to charity directly by Stephen Amell.

“People have been really interested in the charitable endeavors that I have been a part of,” said Amell during a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal. “The folks at F&ck Cancer approached me back in August and connected me with Represent.com. They are a really interesting, forward-thinking company that helps you design a T-shirt and then put it up for sale to help out charitable causes… I’m going to work with Represent.com in the future, we don’t know what we are going to do yet, but I can assure people there will not be an expletive on the T-shirt.”

Prior to these comments, Amell also told The Hollywood Reporter he hopes other people will jump on board with Represent – calling it a “simple way to raise money for a good cause.”

In defiance of the disease and to honor his mother’s successful battle against breast cancer, Amell partnered with F&ck Cancer to sell the T-shirts, which are emblazoned with a note stating “F&ck Cancer” proudly placed on his forehead. The campaign’s bold nature was a monumental success and eclipsed Represent’s previous record of 8,101 “Drum-off” T-shirts sold by Will Ferrell and Chad Smith through Represent earlier this year.

“This is the true benefit of good business,” offers Represent co-founder and CEO, Bryan Baum. “We were honored to work with Stephen and create greater awareness for the F&ck Cancer organization and its mission to raise funds for cancer research and unite the younger generation against a disease that has affected too many lives.”

The Represent platform allows celebrity influencers, marketers, charities and individuals to design custom apparel via its online design tool. Represent prints, packs, and ships orders directly to buyers, and handles all customer service along the way. All of the profits from the campaign are passed directly onto the sellers.
