The Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics (FAST) is thrilled to announce the star-packed lineup set to attend the 6th annual, “Evening With The Stars” fundraising Gala at the Chicago Hyatt Regency Hotel on December 6th, 2014.

Parents of children with Angelman Syndrome, traveling to Chicago from around the globe, are looking forward to spending the evening with their long-time supporter, fellow parent and friend, Colin Farrell.

“Once again it is that time of year,” said Farrell. “Proud (and tired) parents of children and adults with AS from all around the world get to descend upon the bars and restaurants of Chicago culminating in the ballroom at the Hyatt Regency. We get to indulge ourselves in what will be another night of shared information, support and awe at the achievements of our children and also the many parents, relatives, carers, teachers and therapists who support them. Scientists too… let’s not forget the teams of doctors and individuals who are sharing knowledge and discovery on the path to finding a cure and therapeutics that will divine a brighter future for all our boys and girls… I can’t wait to hear of the advancements that have been made since our community last broke bread together… it promises to be the most profound Gala yet… proving once again the value, and strength, we find in our ever increasing numbers. I am a proud supporter of the work FAST is doing.”

In addition to the highly anticipated attendance of Mr. Colin Farrell, FAST is extremely pleased to welcome back critically acclaimed actor Jai Courtney and actress and comedienne Retta. Adding to the list of celebrity attendees this year, Academy Award nominated actress Rosie Perez and actor Vincent D’Onofrio are both looking forward to attending this year’s Gala. This magical evening provides AS parents, families and friends an opportunity to celebrate the hope that the future holds for their children.

“I have a special place in my heart for those individuals who have Angelman Syndrome and the inspiring nature of the community who fight for them and I can’t wait to support all of them by returning to Chicago to attend this year’s FAST Gala,” said actor Jai Courtney.

FAST is thrilled to welcome Ms. Rosie Perez and Mr. Vincent D’Onofrio to the “Evening with the Stars” FAST Gala this year while we remain enormously grateful for the continued support from our dear friends Colin Farrell, Jai Courtney and Retta. All of our celebrity guests give so freely of themselves to help FAST raise awareness of this rare disorder and to lend some glamour to the otherwise very unglamorous lives of special needs parents," said Paula Evans, Founder and Chairperson of FAST. “We look forward to surpassing last year’s success with yet another fantastic evening full of love, laughter and celebration.”

Prior to the “Evening with the Stars” December 6th gala event, FAST will offer a two-day science summit on Friday, December 5th and Saturday, December 6th highlighting the latest research on treatments and a cure for Angelman Syndrome (AS), details on next human clinical trial and best practices for enhancing the lives of individuals with AS.

The FAST Summit & Gala is only made possible with the generous support of its corporate sponsors: Vivint Gives Back; unite4:good; Union Pacific; Baroma Health Partners and Silver Lining Entertainment.
