A range of stars from award-winning actors to critically acclaimed artists have displayed their crafting skills to raise money for Coram, the UK’s first ever children’s charity.

Leading man Benedict Cumberbatch, best-selling Fifty Shades of Grey author EL James, sixties icon Twiggy, and TV favourites Jo Brand and Karl Pilkington are just a few of the stars to have designed unique cards for the Cards for Keeps charity auction. But it is Tom Hiddleston – star of the Marvel films – whose heart-design card fetched the highest sum, just pipping Benedict Cumberbatch’s effort by raising an incredible £2850.

The campaign, launched by leading crafting company Stampin’ Up! UK, ran on eBay from May 6th – May 16th, with the total sum raised reaching £8,578.47.

Paula Gorry, UK Business Development Manager, Stampin’ Up! UK says: “Stampin’ Up! has a long and proud tradition of supporting philanthropic causes. We’re absolutely delighted with the amount raised and we know the money will be put to important use to help Coram in its work transforming the lives of some of the UK’s most vulnerable children.”

The five top-selling cards were:

Tom Hiddleston – £2,850
Benedict Cumberbatch – £2,649
John Finnemore (Radio 4) – £620.05
Karl Pilkington – £225
Joseph Fiennes – £218
