Scope, the disability charity, are launching a major TV advertising campaign that highlights the awkward and often comically uncomfortable situations that occur around disability, and how we can better approach them.
The adverts are fronted by comedian and presenter Alex Brooker (Channel 4’s The Last Leg) and were launched on Sunday (11th May) on TV and in cinemas across the UK. This coincides with a national poll, revealing that a staggering two-thirds of Brits (67%) feel uncomfortable talking to disabled people.
