The GRAMMY Foundation has announced that GRAMMY-nominated band Fall Out Boy will perform a sold-out benefit concert in support of the GRAMMY Foundation’s GRAMMY in the Schools music education programs on Nov. 29 at Metro in Chicago.
The concert will also celebrate the Record Store Day limited-edition vinyl release of Pax-Am Days, an album containing eight new ’80s-influenced punk songs produced by Ryan Adams. The band will perform the album in its entirety as part of the show.
“We are excited to give back to the GRAMMY Foundation as music education is so important to young artists,” said Pete Wentz. “This foundation means so much to us and the future of bands and musicians.”

Formed in Wilmette, Ill., in 2001, Fall Out Boy — comprising drummer Andrew Hurley, vocalist/guitarist Patrick Stump, guitarist Joe Trohman, and bassist Pete Wentz — released several demos incorporating elements of pop, punk and emo before issuing their full-length debut, 2003’s Take This To Your Grave. For their sophomore set, 2005’s From Under The Cork Tree, Fall Out Boy signed with Island Def Jam and the album climbed to No. 9 on the Billboard 200 on the strength of the Top 10 hits “Dance, Dance” and “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down.” That same year the band earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist. Infinity On High was released in 2007 and marked the band’s first No. 1 album, featuring their highest-charting single to date with “This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race.” Following the release of Live In Phoenix and Folie À Deux in 2008, the band went on hiatus.
Their latest studio album, Save Rock And Roll, was released April 15 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album features guest appearances by artists such as Big Sean, Elton John and Courtney Love. Their newest album, Pax-Am Days, was released on Oct. 15, with a limited-edition vinyl copy to be released Nov. 29 as part of a crop of Record Store Day-affiliated Black Friday releases.
