Best Friends Animal Society's 4th Annual ‘Strut Your Mutt’, a national fundraiser benefiting hundreds of shelters and rescue groups around the country, is set to take place this Sunday, September 15th.
Los Angeles offers the largest Strut Your Mutt event, with many celebrities in attendance, and has a goal of raising $500,000 for participating local rescue groups such as Best Friends Los Angeles, Angel City Pit Bulls, Kitten Rescue, Lhasa Happy Homes, and Much Love Animal Rescue. This event will also introduce Best Friends’ new, bold national call to action, Save Them All, which is focused on ending the killing of shelter pets across the country.
Strut Your Mutt will take place at Woodley Park, 6350 Woodley Avenue, Van Nuys. Best Friends co-founders Gregory Castle (chief executive officer) and Francis Battista will be welcoming the support of emcee and comedian Rebecca Corry, The Los Angeles Laker Girls, Rachelle Lefevre (“Twilight”, “Under the Dome”), Juliana and Seamus Dever (“Castle”), Miguel Ferrer (“NCIS: Los Angeles”), Hartley Sawyer (“The Young and the Restless”) Concetta Tomei (“Necessary Roughness”), Shannon Elizabeth (“American Pie”), Emma Kenney (“Shameless”) and Ashley Borden (celebrity fitness trainer).
Onsite registration begins at 8am, with the Dog Walk starting at 10. The festival opens up at 11, and will include Doggie yoga and massage, paw readings, shopping and more.
