Non-profit organization Face Forward are pleased to announce that renown actress Sara Rue will host the upcoming A Gatsby Affair Gala.

Miss Rue is widely known for her work on critically acclaimed television shows such as Popular, Less Than Perfect, Rules Of Engagement and Malibu Country.

Miss Rue said of her hosting engagement, “I’m happy and humbled to host Face Forward’s event this year! They are an incredible organization. The work they do is truly empowering and inspiring. I’m so honored to be a part of it.”

This Face Forward 4th Annual charity gala will once again place the spotlight on the important global issue of domestic and gang violence. The “A Gatsby Affair” themed gala is to be held on September 28th, 2013 at the luxurious Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows in Santa Monica, California.

The Gala will be honoring Dr. Phil McGraw & his wife Robin plus ONEHOPE wine founder/CEO Jake Kloberdanz. Grammy winning artist Macy Gray will be performing on this wonderful evening along with the talented X Factor star Stacy Francis.

The star-studded red carpet event will consist of a stunning outdoor cocktail reception, silent auction, live musical entertainment and Gatsby themed entertainment. This is to be followed by a gourmet dinner and the awards ceremony.

This year’s gala is also proud to announce that they have terrific auction items that are set to raise much-needed funds to help change the lives of those affected by domestic violence. Items include the pool table from the Tom Cruise/Paul Newman blockbuster movie, The Color of Money, concert tickets to Josh Groban & Depeche Mode, breakfast with living legend Larry King, a Sharon Stone gown, music greats Elvis Costello & Elton John have kindly signed a guitar donated by Infiniti. Guests can also bid on luxurious trips to Thailand, Greek Islands and Venice, Italy! An astounding live auction item was kindly donated by Turkish Airlines, who continue to support the Face Forward message and gave 2 International business class airline tickets to Turkey or anywhere else in the world, including a five star hotel stay. Priceless antiques, paintings, sports memorabilia and seasonal gift baskets will ensure that the silent & live auction provides something for everybody.

Loyal partners include the Alessi Institute who provide pro bono reconstructive surgery by renown surgeon Dr. David Alessi, The Specialty Surgery Center donates the operation room facility, the Maple Counseling Center counsels patients pre and post surgery, Safe Passages are a locally run domestic/gang violence support group who also help accommodate and provide Face Forward with patients.

Face Forward founder and CEO Mrs. Deborah Alessi founded Face Forward in 2007. Mrs. Alessi is a survivor of domestic violence and a true advocate of this worthy cause.
