Miranda Lambert, the reigning 4-time ACM and CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, headed to Thackerville, OK to headline the 6th Annual Cause for the Paws concert benefitting Miranda’s own MuttNation Foundation.

On Friday, May 31st, Miranda took the stage at the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, OK.

MuttNation has raised more than $400,000 for its cause so far in 2013 from Cause for the Paws and various other donations – including continual fundraising efforts by individual groups of Ran Fans. The Cause for the Paws event raised funds through a combination of ticket sales, a live auction, an eBay auction, raffle tickets, vendors donating their services and private donations.

Popular items from the eBay auction included a Mini Replica “Blake and Miranda Wedding,” an autographed George Strait cowboy hat & two tickets to his sold out show in Texas, and autographed Luke Bryan and Taylor Swift guitars.

MuttNation Foundation has been actively helping reunite families with pets lost in last month’s devastating tornadoes in Oklahoma and finding new homes for pets in need.

Miranda’s love of animals led to the formation of MuttNation. The foundation has successfully raised money across the country in order to aid organizations and governmental institutions or entities that build animal shelters for better care, increase pet adoption and encourage responsible pet guardianship, rehabilitate sick or unsocialized animals, fund spay/neuter programs, reduce/eliminate euthanasia of healthy animals, and train shelter dogs for purposes of therapy programs, assistance for wounded military personnel, and dogs-in-prisons programs.

“I feel so blessed to be able to continue the work of MuttNation Foundation in aiding and assisting animals in need,” said Miranda “Aside from music, this is my biggest passion in life, and I find it so rewarding to help end animal suffering and homelessness.”
