As part of its ongoing efforts to help disadvantaged children throughout Latin America, the Maestro Cares Foundation today announced a partnership with global charity auction site Charitybuzz.
The featured online auction includes a VIP concert experience and a Meet-and-Greet backstage with Grammy Award winner and Maestro Cares co-founder Marc Anthony, who will be kicking off his highly anticipated U.S. tour, “Vivir Mi Vida.” The once-in-a-lifetime experience and auciton, valued at $25,000, is open until July 11, 2013 at Charitybuzz.com.
“I’m delighted to meet with supporters of the Maestro Cares Foundation,” said Anthony. “The lives of so many children in need will be transformed thanks to the generosity of those who want a brighter future for them. Thanks to all who participate in this great auction. It’s going to be a fun night for a noble cause.”
Other auction items include autographed guitars by Latin superstars Ricky Martin, Mana and Enrique Iglesias. The contributions from the auctions will allow Maestro Cares to continue the construction of a new residence and learning center for 100 neglected children in the Dominican Republic.
“We look forward to meeting the winners of this great auction,” said Maestro Cares co-founder Henry Cardenas. “I’m confident that they will have a great time while making a tremendous impact in other people’s lives.”
Anthony, whose new album, “3.0,” is set for release July 23, prepares to kick off a 15-country world tour beginning August 6 in Colombia. His new single, “Vivir Mi Vida,” has just set a new record as the longest running salsa track in the last decade (eight consecutive weeks) and the longest running #1 pure salsa version in history.
The Maestro Cares Foundation was launched in January 2012 by international pop icon Marc Anthony and entrepreneur Henry Cardenas to help children in need throughout Latin America. It is the goal of the Foundation to improve the quality of life for orphaned, abused and neglected children by providing them with basic needs and surrounding them with a safe and healthy environment to live, learn and play.
