Miley Cyrus – better known as Hannah Montanna – has launched a new charity to help disadvantaged children, and is auctioning off a date to set the initiative in motion.
The Pappy Cyrus Family Foundation is named after the singer’s grandfather Ron, who died in 2006, and aims to help deprived children by providing health care, education and community support. The organization’s mission is to make a real difference in the lives of children in America who are in danger of not reaching their full potential – an issue the 15-year-old cares deeply about.
The auction – accessed through eBay – will run from July 21 through to July 29, and will feature the chance for one lucky fan to be the star’s date on the red carpet at her upcoming “Bolt” movie premiere — complete with Disneyland passes, accommodations and car service. But that’s not all – there is also the chance for bidders to get their hands on clothes she wore to the “High School Musical 2” movie premiere and last year’s Teen Vogue Young Hollywood party, as well as autographed CDs, posters, and photos, and many more personal items she has put on offer – such as her cell phone.
And if that is not enough to put a big Smiley Miley smile on your face, then be sure to check out her new album, Breakout, which is being released today.
