On Monday, May 20, approximately 100 guests gathered at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, for the 3rd Annual Swinging for Seany Golf Tournament.
The event — hosted by The Seany Foundation — raised over $60,000 for research and programs for children, teens, and young adults affected by cancer.
The Foundation also announced the exciting news that, in 2014, the American Cancer Society will pass the torch to The Seany Foundation as the funding organization for Camp Reach for the Sky, a free summer camp for kids with cancer and their siblings.
Golfers competed in fun contests for exciting prizes such as a stay at Wynn Las Vegas, and enjoyed a relaxing cocktail hour, silent auction, awards dinner, and opportunity drawing. Special guests that day included sports celebrities Kris Dielman, Chris McAlister, Tre McLeod, Jim Trotter, Jermaine Dye, and Scott Shields.
The Seany Foundation hosts events to raise awareness about the devastating effects on kids with cancer and their families. It also seeks to raise funds for vital programs and research.
