The Alliance For Children’s Rights has announced the 4th annual RIGHT to LAUGH comedy event, set to take place on Thursday, May 30, 2013.
This year’s event will feature Hollywood’s comedy elite presenting an evening of laughter hosted by Nicole Sullivan (MADtv, The King of Queens) with standup sets by George Lopez (Lopez Tonight), Craig Ferguson (The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson),
Wanda Sykes (The Wanda Sykes Show), Billy Gardell (Mike & Molly),
Nick Kroll (Kroll Show), Bob Odenkirk (SNL, Breaking Bad) and Bob Saget (That’s What I’m Talking About).
More than 500 guests from the entertainment, corporate and philanthropic communities will attend the RIGHT to LAUGH event at the Avalon in Hollywood. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by the hilarious, generous and talented line-up who will return to their stand up roots to put on a show that will have guests rolling on the floor with laughter.
The Alliance for Children’s Rights is Los Angeles’ preeminent nonprofit dedicated to protecting the rights of at-risk children. Funds raised will benefit the organization, which focuses on protecting the rights of impoverished and abused children and youth so that they have safe homes, healthcare and the education they need to thrive. Since 1992, they have provided free legal services and advocacy to more than 100,000 children and youth in Los Angeles County. For many clients, the Alliance is the only connection to a safer, brighter future.
“In its fourth year, RIGHT to LAUGH supports the Alliance for Children’s Rights by shedding light on the importance of creating safe and encouraging environments for our youth,” said Peter Benedek. RIGHT to LAUGH co-chair. “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the talent that has donated their time to performing for the cause.”
