Since 1922, Woodcraft Rangers has been providing recreational and learning opportunities to young people in the Los Angeles area. The agency’s after-school program, NVISION, is currently operating at over 68 public schools and community centers, offering homework assistance and an array of special interest clubs with themes such as science, computers, team sports, fine arts (photography, drawing), and performing arts (drama, dance). Woodcraft Rangers legacy, the residential camping programs, exposes urban youth to outdoor activities as well as activities focused on science, nature appreciation, leadership development, and mentoring. Woodcraft Rangers’ programs benefited over 15,000 young people last year, and they plan to reach out to many more this year.
