St. Anne’s is a social services agency focused on the most vulnerable population of moms – those in the foster care system, or who have faced homelessness. For 110 years, the organization has remained committed to helping young women and children recognize their own value and potential, while working to break the cycle of abuse, neglect and poverty.

OUR BACKGROUND
Sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart, St. Anne’s is a wonderful combination of an “old” Los Angeles charity and a leading-edge social service agency. Since first opening its doors in 1908 as a safe refuge for unwed, pregnant young women, St. Anne’s has continuously responded to meet the changing needs of today’s society and evolved into one of the most highly regarded social service agencies committed to developing and sustaining programs that address the special needs of pregnant and/or parenting young women, children and families.

Today, St. Anne’s serves some of the most abused, abandoned, neglected and otherwise challenged young women and children in Los Angeles County. St. Anne’s offers an array of comprehensive programs including: residential treatment care, transitional housing, mental health, early childhood education, wrap-around services that encompass family literacy, family preservation, educational and vocational preparation, as well as access to, and collaborations with, other agencies.
