Pro Dono was founded as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company in January 2011 to organise one-to-one meeting-of-mind experiences with public figures in aid of charity.
They arrange meetings between members of the public and their heroes: the member of the public chooses their hero from their Ambassadors, or nominates someone not currently presented on the website they would like to meet, and Pro Dono arranges the meeting. The hero gives their time and the member of the public donates to the hero’s charity of choice.
Its founding aim is to boost charitable giving through incentivisation; Pro Dono is an efficient and effective new fundraising mechanism for charities.
