Keech Hospice Care provides emotional and practical support for adults and children diagnosed with a life-limiting condition. Our aim is to help patients enjoy the highest quality of life, while also providing vital support for their family and friends.
We are one of only a handful of UK organisations offering both an adult and children’s hospice on the same site. Our adult hospice provides care for patients primarily from Luton and South Bedfordshire, while our children’s hospice cares for children across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes.
All our services are provided free of charge to all, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
How you can help
As an independent charity, Keech Hospice Care relies on financial support from the local community to continue its vital work, and there are hundreds of ways people can support their fundraising efforts:
- Fundraising at home, school or work,
- Participating in one of their organised events such as the annual Santa Runs and Midnight Walks as well as other events such as Firewalks (walking barefoot over hot coals), treks, sky diving and bungee jumps.
- They also rely on local businesses and organisations to support them. This can be done through charity adoptions, attending corporate events such as Golf Days or by donating goods.
Keech Hospice Care relies heavily on volunteers and they are always on the lookout for more help, with volunteering opportunities in out care and therapy, fundraising, retail and central services.
They have a weekly lottery which costs £1 per entry with a top prize of £1000, and have several shops dotted about the area.
