Harlem School of the Arts is an art school at 645 St. Nicholas Avenue in Harlem, Manhattan, New York City. Its mission is “to enrich the lives of children and their families in the Harlem community and beyond, through exposure to and instruction in the arts.”
The Harlem School of the Arts provides all children, but primarily children from under represented communities, access to a quality arts education and world-class training in dance, music, theatre and art & design. Over 1200 students enroll in classes yearly; 96% of those students are accepted at arts high schools, colleges, universities and conservatories. HSA is proudly, one of six official affiliate schools in the world offering the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) National Training Curriculum and all ballet faculty are ABT certified.
