At points throughout each day, participating restaurants and other food providers set aside excess food that they do not plan to serve or keep. This food is sealed in special bins supplied by Feed His People, and trained FHP volunteers pick up the donated food up at designated times. Volunteers take the food directly to participating shelters and feeding program sites for the benefit of homeless and hungry community residents.
How you can help
There are a number of ways you can help end hunger in your community. You can make a donation, become a food provider, solicit the involvement of food establishments in your area, volunteer to deliver food establishments in your area, volunteer to deliver food to shelters, and learn more about the devastating – but solvable – problem of hunger in America.
