Yuna Kim (or Kim Yu-Na) is a South Korean figure skater.
She is a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF. She donated over $83,000 to Haiti earthquake victims through UNICEF.
As a Goodwill Ambassador, she has made additional donations to the work of UNICEF and appeared in a special video marking the six month anniversary of the earthquake to thank donors and urge continued support for the children in Haiti.
In 2012 Yuna wrote a piece for UNICEF on the importance of water sanitation, saying:
When I was a young girl, I dreamt of winning an Olympic medal for my country in figure skating. I was able to make this dream come true because I could take for granted things that hundreds of millions of children cannot. Among the most significant of these are clean water and proper sanitation services.
