Carla Nazih Al-Berkashi, known by her stage name as Yara, is a Lebanese singer. She was born in 1983 in Deir el Ahmar, Lebanon. Her song “Hob Kbeer” marked the beginning of her career in 2005. Yara has since released six highly popular albums in different dialects in Arabic, and cooperated on several duets with a number of famous singers. She is a former Ambassador to the Lebanese Red Cross and the European Union where she focused on youth. Yara lives in Dubai.
