Mexican actor and director Gael Garcia Bernal is best known for his portrayal of Che Guevara in The Motorcycle Diaries.
He is currently making a film called Resist about people who are inspiring new ways of thinking, acting and being.
At the age of 14, Bernal taught literacy to indigenous peoples in Mexico, most often with the Huichol Indians.
As a teenager, he helped the people of the Chiapas uprising of 1994 by sending food, writing and reading about the situation and attending peaceful demonstrations.
