British boxer of Pakistani descent, Amir Khan went to Pakistan to help the victims of the 2005 earthquake in Kashmir.
In 2006, he became involved in the No Messin’ campaign, which promotes child safety around British railways.
Khan donated £700,000 to build a community gym in Halliwell, “for local youngsters to get off the streets and into the sport,” as well as for his own training base.
A Signed pair of Amir Khan’s boxing gloves were given away in a charity raffle in 2008 to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
